WHAT WE LOVE

At Mr Little Cider we select only local Australian fresh apples, crush them to extract their precious juice, filter and then ferment the juice. Later we press more fresh ripened apples and then carefully blend them to the fermented apple juice.
This creates a deliciously fresh apple flavoured and aromatic cider with a hint of sweetness and crisp acidity.
We then bottle the blend and try a few, and then try a few more, and if it is good enough for our lofty standards we will then, and only then put our name on it!

01. HISTORY

Mr Little ‘Genuine’ Cider was born from the simple desire to drink really good cider made from the wonderful apples that are in abundance in our local area.

02. PASSION

I had an extensive background in restaurants and especially as a long standing sommelier working both in Australia and Europe. From this love of great quality wines, artisinal beers, spirits and ciders came the passion to create a real cider that I wanted to drink.

03. EXPERIENCE

So using my experience, the tenets of good wine making (high quality fruit, good handling, minimal interference and minimal processing) I was able to create a ‘genuine’ cider made the way I wanted to drink it: pure, natural, refreshing and of course delicious!

04. MOTIVATION

The first batch was created in 2014 and I was pretty happy with it. I decided to enter it into The Australian Cider Awards to get feedback from the expert judges. Lo and behold I was awarded a bronze medal! That inspire and motivated me to continue on the journey.

05. VISION

The next year I created a pear cider and I decided to try my luck and enter it into The Australian Cider Awards, and to my great surprise and joy It won an award but this time it was a silver. That was even more motivation to continue on the journey. In the third year I released an oak age cider that I had been working on for 12 months. I again entered it into The Australian Cider Awards and you guessed it, I was awarded a medal, a bronze medal.

06. PERFECTION

I have always been a dreamer and I hoped and dreamed one day to open a cidery. In 2017 my business partner and I started actively looking for a suitable site and finally In January 2018 we found that place. After many months of research and planning we opened the cidery cellardoor in October 2018. And the rest they say is history!
